In 2007, Deacon Corp. decided to formalize our commitment of support to the environment by creating the EcoAction Program.

Why…

We are fortunate to live in a country that provides us with tremendous opportunities, and one way we can give back to our world is by reducing the impact we have on the environment. There are many things that can be done to help which are easy, inexpensive and meaningful. The culture of our company and the passion of our people put us in a position to create positive change.

How...

The initiative is headed by our EcoAction Facilitator, who coordinates the company’s sustainability efforts across all offices. Each office has their own EcoTeam which identifies and implements ideas to affect positive environmental change at the jobsite, office and in their community.

These are a few of the areas in which our company is looking to reduce our environmental impact and affect positive environmental change:

  • Education of employees and clients on opportunities for sustainability
  • Improving construction jobsite processes
  • Improving office operations
  • Transportation
  • Company's facilities
  • Outreach to environmental efforts
